DON’T GO LOW, BUT DO GO DEEP

Don’t go low
nor
at any one or thing
you see or know,

except for you–
get right in there
and go quite deep,

breathe. . .

and grant yourself
a grand furlough. . .

and when you’re set,
with treasures
you’ll rise back from it,
and it’s no longer such a stretch
to reach
that shining, lofty peak.

And remember,
to thy living kind
and to thyself
be kind–

for it’s then
you’re best on track
to find
whatever you want most to find,
whensoever
you do choose
to seek.
