WHEN YOU FAIL

You
if you
when you
no matter how
many times
again
you
fail,

be it untraceably
and silently
or with the whopping call
of whipperwill,
as quite conspicuously
you writhe and flail,

look there,
and see
each time you flame,
it guides you
where best next
to take your game,

and moves you
wisely
in your talk
AND walk
in such a way
most would deem
quite worthy of some fame,

although you’re sheerly positive
you’re absolutely lame.
