THE INVITATION

It’s enow
to make you
fit and start
as if hit
by cupid’s dart,
when someone begs you
from the heart,

“Please stay.”

You don’t yet know
exactly how
or understand
the way.

But it’s a game
that sights the blind,
and heals the sick,
and walks the lame,

So it just might be
well worth the risk
to play.
