A WISH, A FISH, AND YOU

A wish come true. . .

Just like a fish
that lives in water,
but being beached
and after
having been deprived of it,
returns to its great ocean blue,

There is some switch,
that can get flipped
upon your order,

when you simply make a wish,
from wherever you have strayed,
that takes you back
to that sweet place
from which
you’ve somehow,
sadly, been waylaid,

which you will learn, upon return
is the one true
once and future home for you.
