STAY UP, SUN!

Winter sun
droops to dusk
I could tell it,
“Sun! You’re no fun!”

But that would
no more
make it stay up
than would
all the strength
of a mighty elephant
with two strong and long
and sturdy tusks,

So,
though I loathe
bid it adieu,
it would appear
I must.
