WHY CAN’T I GET SOME SUN?

Dang! Dang! Dang!
Why can’t I get
a little sun?

Well, gal,
despite your skillful
whining, rhyming twang–
I’d say your question’s
pretty dumb!–

It’s just high time
you shut that net–
and upped and went,
walked out a stretch,
in hours when
you know sun shines,
although today, it may be wet–

for that’s what gives you
your best chance
to get some sun–

which is exactly
just the same
as ’tis for anyone.
