WHEN YOU CANNOT STOMACH LIFE

When the world seems unkind,
and you feel
there is no way to stomach life,
it’s time another path to find,
and apply,
(so you absorb),
some organs of a different sort–

See
with keen, but soft,
kind eyes,

discern
with heart,
which, with each beat,
expands more wise,

and act
with daring,
in feats complete,
if not exact,

led by the guide
of your ever open wide,
good gut-sense, devoid-of-nonsense,
loving, caring body mind.
