When comes time
to change
or steady
your direction,

And people name
your blemish,
wrinkle lines
and imperfections,

B – R – E – A – T – H – E. . .

And opt out
of that game,
stay focused,
and quite sane–
and smile them OFF!–

For it’s unlikely
that, compared to you,
their little beefs
are worth a dime,
even if they chance be true–
and you could say,
for that airing of their view,
you didn’t really ask. . .

But, you’ll sail on
to steer
and persevere
yet stronger, too,
if you just add
to that big smile
a hearty belly laugh!
