LEARNING LANGUAGE WITH LOVE

If you want to learn
a foreign language,

it’s really best
to watch and listen
like a child,
and simply mimic
what you see and hear–
omit the grown-up
work and pain
of too much mental,
psycho-wranglage,

For, like a springing
school girl’s step
or a playful, joyful
hop or skip,
it’s best when you
feel natural love and strong support,
quite comfy-cushioned all around
like the solid, light, and airy sound
of a cozy, friendly
leavened loaf
of your pre-school days’
sing-sanguage.
