PARKING IT ON A GRAY DAY

Gray day. . .
+++++a dampened mood
a heavier feel
+++++a rhythm
+++++yearning for a lilting rhyme. . .

To go out,
stay in,
get things done,
in the shineless interlude,
and bide my time. . .

Until the sun
shall once more
show its face
again to sparkle–

and if that doesn’t
lift the mood
around this place,
perhaps there’s hope
a little stroll
in the neighboring park’ll.
