WHEN YOU DARE TO SNEAK A PEEK

You think
there’s
no one there
to look–

So, you dare
to sneak a peek–

Beware though-
whatever else you do,
and by all means,
do not blink!

Direct your stare
every which way–
and do a sweeping
double take,
to be sure
that
the coast is clear–

Lest you be caught,
and in deep trouble got,
by the alluring wiles
of one said snake.
