A PERSON GETS NOT USED TO BEING TOTALLY ALONE

A person usually
does not much
get used to being
totally alone.

So,
get yourself
out into company–
it is your choice–

in this world
you have a voice–

you need not choose
to just be satisfied,
when all you do
is throw yourself
a bone.

Maybe throw, instead,
a little party. . .

It’s really then
that you can be yourself again,,
in your own skin,

and smile wide
and dance and sing–

and, if you’re really lucky,
you’ll enjoy it
and all of them,

so much you quiver
deep within,
and let escape
a belly laugh
that, joyful,
spreads your love and life,
so very, very hearty.
