A DAY JUST FOR YOU

Do something sensible.

Do something really crazy.

Do something quite commendable. . .

But then,
before your secret dreams
succumb
to your brain screams
that parrot memes
on what it takes
to be dependable,

do something else,
which, in another person’s sight,
will likely look like lazy. . .

Would it be
so very reprehensible,
if,
in an urban wild field,
you went ahead
instead of yield,

and stooped
merely to suit
yourself,

and spread your eager fingers
like a happy elf,
carefree,
to pick
an absolutely
smiling daisy?
