THE POWER OF A HALF AN HOUR

What
the human you
can do,
even when a little loath to,
in just a half an hour

abuts what
a drop
of morning dew can do
to moisten, glisten,
and wash dust off
the thirsty petals
of a morning flower–

Oh, so much more
than what the bucket proverb says
of the drop, its upshot and its mettle,
in its creative
and restoring
power.
