THE SHEEN OF MULTI-TASKING

multi-tasking–
the shiny way
in which we humans
are progressing. . .

Such
unproductive
ROT!

when we succumb,
we lose touch–
too many neurons
so to numb,
robbing life and love
of all they’re absolutely asking,
and demanding. . .

and the unhappy ending
is one burnt
thumb
and one burnt
dinner in the pot.

Best, instead,
to relax,
to clear our body
and our head,

and put our mind
and heart and soul
in every moment,
feeling doing, and responding–
abandoning the urge
on everything and one
to comment. . .

for in the end,
this precious moment
is the only thing
we’ve really, truly,
absolutely got.
