STAND JUST LIKE A TREE

Stand
firmly rooted
to the ground,
arms upstretched,
just like a tree. . .

What will that do,
while twixt the Earth
and Sky
stand you?

The answer may
come slow,
but won’t come
from sweat
of your brow.

So,
stand in patience
and receive. . .

and though
you do not know
right now,
just wait it out. . .

eventually
you’ll see.
