ALL HAIL THE SETTING SUN

All hail
the setting autumn sun!–
big and orange
its last wink,
and then
its so quick
west horizon sink
to say
its shortening day
is done,

and we see then
that dark and stars
prevail,
till sun
under our view
its nightly sail
does sail,
to rise up east,
a world apart
from where it set
to let us start
another one.
