WHAT’S WELL THAT BEGINS WELL

All’s well that ends well.
So said the Bard.

Well, that’s all good–
but if you hope
you can steer clear
so you can stay
out of the woods,

as far as I can tell,
if at all
you could,
it may be best
you take good care
to begin quite well,

for, while a good beginning
is no guarantee of winning,
it just may be a better bet
than to wave a wand,
or cast a magic spell,

and from that simple step,
placing the best foot forward
in the best mode
you can get,
the great good
that may come of that
no one yet
can manage their brain ’round to wrap,
for its magnanimity and magnitude
may just one day
come to loom
so much more grand
than present tale could ever tell.
