COMING OUT OF THE SALONS

When people went to sage salons,
engaged in their symposiums,
can we, from that,
suppose those ones
emerged informed, and smarter?

And when, today,
we court doldrums,
do we become more beautiful
from hours in beauty parlors?

Well, maybe not. . .

But even so,
to interface
with other people
face to face
helps us
grow love and fresh ideas,
which may well be practical,
and make us feel
more able, whole, at peace. . .

And, when we come
into and from
that happier space. . .

That’s pretty good,
for starters.
