DON’T JUST CRY

Don’t just cry. . .

console your heart
and inner eye,

place hand ‘gainst hand
gaze upward toward the sky,

and do your part. . .

just pray. . .
+++++for the dying
+++++and the living,
+++++for the transgressing
+++++and forgiving,

and don’t omit
to pray for you
and your stickly loved ones, too–

and, once you do,
you will see why. . .

And it just might make you cry. . .
