When you begin
to drag and lumber,
and all you want to do
is slumber,

think back,
to times
you felt more
in the act,

even if you must look far,
it’s crucial
you remember
who you are,

for that will
ground you now and here,
though from the brilliant
light you shine,
it’s very clear
that, while you’re made of lowly
earthly cinders,
so is a star–
and that’s exactly
what you are.
