WAKE UP TO SPRING

Wake up!
Take heed!

Make a trek
upon some
morning lawn
and sod!

Behold
the “POP!”
of those wee daisies,
the quintessential
winks of Spring,

a season
making people somewhat
antsy-crazy,
demanding we be
deferential,

to the upward
rapid
PUSH
of Life
and Growth
in dizzy speed,

which wields
an awesome Power
and Love,
shot up
from oh-so-low below,
reaching tender green and fresh
to tower, at last,
quite high
above
the place
where first
it sprouted out,
began to grow,
with scarce a whisper ,
from the hidden
and unlikely glove
that was
a tiny mustard seed.
