SAY A PRAYER FOR THOSE WHO STICK BY YOU

Say a prayer
in celebration
of all of those
who stick by you,
even though you may not be
the best one
who their imagination ever knew,

and as the world goes,
there’s plenty other,
better things
that they
might choose to do,
and other places
they could be,
whether sitting, singing
on cool banks of the Tuolumne,
or hiking their way through
hot dunes and sands by Timbuktu.

  1. this really speaks to embracing the experience of insignificance…thank you 🙂

  2. Hi Denizenrightly,
    (interesting User name, BTW)
Thank you. I am glad to know my poem spoke to you. Hope I don’t destroy the mood by saying that is not insignificant to me to have received your nice comment. :~)

  3. Not at all. I like it in fact.
