A FAT TIME-CHUNK REPRISE

easy
to believe
what you want
yea, maybe even
what you need
to believe. . .

even when,
unnoticed, a clock may stop
but just to keep you on your notice-toes,
also, unnoticed, then re-start,
giving your
wee bit
late timing
oods more time to shop. . .

until you get hungry–
for lunchtime has hit–
just when you thought
you’d got
so well ahead
of it. . .

and then,
by quite another clock,
you see
it was but a ruse–
to have the latitude
to revel and to bask
with more extra
than you’d’ve ever
dreamed to ask–
in that nice, fat,
succulent time-chunk reprise.
