sink your eyes
into the mirth
of summer bloom

and soak in it
for all it’s worth. . .

and hope that it
will rectify the dearth
of sufficient room
to re-energize. . .

regain the light
that you absorbed at birth
when you first
opened your eyes
along with the life
you got
with your first breath,

and let roll off
the spite
that made you die
so many times
before you lived
your final death.

So that you
may muster strength
to scale the heights,

and of the highest mount
drink in the broadest, brightest sights
once you
have reached its lofty crest.
