A project:
I feel and see
my now and future self,
Then throw forth
some need or wish. . .
then, in my mind,
well form an image
made to go with it,
of what it is I want to do,
or, at least,
in the end, to have accomplished. . .
Then I
get to the task,
and, if it’s big,
take breaks, but in the long run,
stay with this thing
to which I did commit. . .
And, when I’m done
relieved or pleased
at how I’ve earned
my moment in the sun,
Perhaps, I’m feeling
satisfied
in my ensuing respite,
or maybe,
I am finally just glad
I simply can forget it.
